We received this encouraging letter & illustration from the father of a family in our Safe Families program! We consider it a great privilege to come alongside families in need.
Dear Safe Families,
Hi! I am writing this letter with gratitude and great joy. My name is David, and before I found you, I was broken. I had no hope, no joy and it felt like my life was at an end. I was a man in the dark who had to watch his family live without real help and real people who cared.
Finally, we decided to blindly step out on faith and come to a new city. We wanted a safer environment for our family and our son. It was hard to find peace without fear. We didn’t know who would accept us or who would have a heart to help us.
It is my pleasure to say that Safe Families stepped into our dark place and pulled our family into the light. You showed us love and peace. You gave us hope. You did not judge us. With the help of faithful and loving volunteers, you opened your homes to us and took us in with open arms.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Safe Families for having a heart for hurting people. Today I will not fear in giving people a change the way you gave us a chance. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Sincerely, David
