Building Families for Children, Inc. (BFC) is a faith-based family services nonprofit agency located in Columbia, Maryland. Our mission is to help Maryland’s most vulnerable children and their families thrive by providing trauma-focused supportive services with Christ-like love and compassion.

BFC is hiring a full-time Director of Administration. BFC currently operates a State contracted Treatment Foster Care program, a volunteer-driven hosting program (Safe Families for Children®), Therapeutic Family Services and Community Care initiatives.

The Director of Administration is responsible for the following Agency functions: financial accounting and management, human resources (HR), facilities management, and overseeing office management.


Bachelor’s degree with at least two years’ experience in the areas of bookkeeping and human resources.  Proven organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.  Strong computer skills and at least two years of experience with an accounting software package and Excel.  Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Knowledge of principles and practice of personnel management, contract management, program planning and evaluation, general administration, finance, marketing, and financial development.
