“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10
As I think about the programs here at BFCS and our hope to see our relational and transformational ministries grow, I am drawn to the Bible story of Jesus calling Zacchaeus down from the tree.
- He makes the invitation to spend time together at Zacchaeus’ house.
- The people nearby, who knew Zacchaeus and his ungodly ways, react negatively.
- Zacchaeus takes a leap of faith and is transformed to acts of charity, giving half of his possessions to the poor.
- Finally, in the verse above, Jesus reveals His purpose.
Here at BFCS, we believe an individual or a group can bring about transformation just by practicing biblical hospitality. Please consider joining us as we seek to:
- Grow Safe Families for Children, a ministry based on welcoming in a child and his/her parents and allowing that simple act to transform a family back to stability.
- Launch Open Table, a ministry that sees a youth aging out of the foster care system, or a person struggling in poverty, as a brother or sister to invite to “the table.”
