This year we are introducing a monthly giving program! The ongoing support of this passionate community of donors, who we call Family Allies, helps ensure that Building Families has resources to be there for families like Brandye’s (pictured above).
They say a picture tells a thousand words. This family photo was sent to us last Christmas from Brandye, a mom we served years ago, who continues to participate in events and stay connected. When we first met Brandye, she had just been through a traumatic experience and was on the verge of homelessness. We provided shelter for Brandye and her kids, and surrounded her with a network of volunteers to help her heal and achieve financial stability. Without these supports and Brandye’s determination, her kids may have entered the child welfare system. Instead, her family emerged intact and stronger than before. This picture now shows a mom, relaxed and filled with joy, with her three beautiful, happy teenagers. A heartwarming image.

Our staff, volunteers, and foster parents commit their time and open up their hearts and homes so that these families can experience God’s grace and mercy. Unfortunately, like Brandye, many more parents in our community have experienced heartbreaking poverty, trauma, and isolation. These moms and dads need our help.
