No one is sure what “Back to School” will look like this September, but we know that there are still many families in need of our support! 

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are changing the way we collect and distribute donations. This year, rather than asking for backpacks filled with supplies, we’re requesting financial donations and gift cards to stores like Walmart and Target. This adjusted approach allows us to limit contact and provide families with the flexibility they need to buy the right supplies for their students, no matter how or where learning takes place this fall.

GIVE ONLINE and your donation will be doubled! When you give on our Funraise page, make your gift “In Celebration of Students” and it will be used to purchase gift cards and other necessities to make sure students are prepared for success on the first day! Click here to give and have your donation doubled!

DONATE GIFT CARDS to stores that sell school supplies in denominations no larger that $50. Send them to the Building Families for Children office and we’ll distribute them to families in need. Our address is 7161 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite A, Columbia, MD 21046. Target | Walmart | Staples
