Today, I was forwarded the most beautiful and heart wrenching video about a child who witnessed domestic violence and was removed from her mother’s care and separated from her brother. It is entitled “ReMoved” and is now available to view on our Facebook page.

As the little girl narrates her feelings of hopelessness, she says….
“I know I’m helpless…
Dependent…
Desperate…”
And, once she finds a home that offers her unconditional love, empathy, consistency and stability she expresses hope for the first time, saying…
“It seemed maybe this time the world would not be pulled out from under me again…
Feet safe…
Roots starting to grow…
Little buds of hope formed…
Slowly attempting to trust.”
This depicts so beautifully the mission of Building Families for Children. I hope you will take some time to watch it and consider how difficult the lives of the children we serve can be. These children are lost on so many levels, and through Building Families for Children, they learn to feel, to hope, to dream! Please join me in prayer and thanksgiving for our CHOSEN foster parents and Safe families who have taken a child or children in, opening up their hearts and homes and instilling hope.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
