Building Families for Children, Inc. (BFC) is a faith-based, family services nonprofit agency located in Columbia, Maryland. The mission of BFC is to share the love of Christ by helping Maryland’s most vulnerable children thrive in families. 

BFC has a full-time opening for a Treatment Social Worker (FT, PT, or Contractor) in its treatment foster care program (CHOSEN).

As a Treatment Foster Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families in our treatment foster care program. You will work directly with foster children and their foster families, providing guidance, support,

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work.
• Maryland licensure is required (LMSW or LBSW).
• Two years’ experience working with children and families in a child welfare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
